The Panama Maritime Authority (PMA) actively participated in the 133rd Session of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Council, represented by Ramón Franco, Director General of the Merchant Marine, and Ambassador Luis Bernal. Key discussions with global maritime leaders, including IMO Secretary-General Arsenio Domínguez, focused on sustainability, international compliance, decarbonization, and maritime security. Strategic meetings highlighted Panama’s commitment to collaboration, safety, and efficiency in the global fleet, reinforcing its role as a trusted and innovative ship registry.
